UnifyCloud announces new Asia Pacific Leader
To bolster operations in the Asia Pacific region, UnifyCloud appoints Lalit Yagnik in new leadership role.
REDMOND, Wash. – November 20, 2020 UnifyCloud is delighted to strengthen its commitment to customers in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region by appointing a recognized software leader, Lalit Yagnik, as its Managing Director, Asia Pacific. UnifyCloud CEO Marc Pinotti stated, “Lalit is no stranger to the region, having spearheaded IBM Software Group’s growth from its inception as a separate line of business in the mid-nineties to reaching its prominence as a Cloud and AI provider. We are thrilled and honored to have him join our team.”
Lalit got his start developing a technology and consulting foundation for the Australia/New Zealand market, and moved on to developing similar capabilities at SingaLab, a joint venture with the Singapore government, and the India eBusiness Software Center. As the Founder-Director, he leveraged these experience centers to enable clients – small and large enterprises and ISV/SI partners – to envision and develop disruptive solutions using IBM and partners’ software.
For the past six years, Lalit has been consulting with academia, enterprises, and start-ups in digital transformation solutions using cloud, big data analytics, AI, and AR/VR from leading technology providers. An Australian citizen of Indian descent and a Singapore permanent resident, he loves to travel and could often be found in all three countries in any given month prior to the pandemic. He is also passionate to share customer successes and articulate industry trends for the benefit of others at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
On this appointment, Lalit stated “I am excited to work with UnifyCloud’s customers, partners and Microsoft leaders to learn from and contribute to the journey our customers are taking for their digital transformation with cloud and AI. Rapid modernization of IT has become a critical need, even more so post Covid-19, to deliver a superior user experience with agility and at reduced cost.”
